How Subscriptions Work

How Subscriptions Work

MenuGaze uses a tiered subscription model managed through Stripe. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial that gives you full access to all features on your selected tier. A credit card is required at checkout, but you won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime during the trial.

Subscription Tiers

Both PhotoMenu and 3D Menu Pro offer three tiers that differ in the number of menu items you can manage:

  • Starter β€” Best for small menus. PhotoMenu Starter supports up to 10 items ($19.99/month). 3D Menu Pro Starter supports up to 15 items ($49.99/month).
  • Pro β€” For growing restaurants. PhotoMenu Pro supports up to 30 items ($39.99/month). 3D Menu Pro Pro supports up to 40 items ($89.99/month).
  • Premium β€” Unlimited items. PhotoMenu Premium is $79.99/month. 3D Menu Pro Premium is $159.99/month.

14-Day Free Trial

When you first sign up, your subscription enters a 14-day trial period. During the trial you have full access to every feature of your chosen tier, including AI processing, QR code generation, analytics, and all dashboard tools. You can add items, generate 3D models, and test the full customer experience.

Three days before your trial ends, we send a reminder email so you have time to add a payment method or adjust your plan. If the trial expires without a payment method, your account enters a grace period.

Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed monthly from the date you first add a payment method (or from the date your trial ends if you added a card during the trial). Stripe handles all payment processing. You can view invoices, update your payment method, and manage your subscription from the Stripe Customer Portal, which is accessible from your dashboard billing settings.

Upgrading and Downgrading

You can change your tier at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle, so you keep access to your current tier until then.

If you downgrade to a tier with a lower item limit and you currently have more items than the new tier allows, your existing items remain visible but you cannot add new items until you are within the limit.

Grace Period and Cancellation

If your subscription is cancelled or your payment fails, your account enters a grace period. During the grace period your menu remains publicly visible, but you cannot add or edit items. A banner appears on your dashboard indicating the grace period status.

If the grace period expires without payment, your account is deactivated and your public menu is taken offline. Your data is not deleted β€” you can reactivate at any time by resubscribing.
